UNIVERSITY STUDENTS: MADE LIFE EASIER

Remote learning has been a great challenge for us, students, ever since schools decided to close due to the rise of Covid-19. Knowing that we are adapting to the new learning environment, we are also encountering unexpected challenges in facing this online setup. With that being said, I discovered some applications and websites that really helped me in succeeding in my academics in remote learning.

Here are my top 3 applications I’ve used during this online learning:

NOTION

Notion has been a great help when it comes to maximizing my productivity and organizing my tasks. It is one of the most flexible tools I used since it can be used as a task management tool, fitness tracker, academic notes, personal journal, and a lot more. Everything you need is all in one place You can customize your own notion and download other templates to make it a lot easier for you to use. You are free on doing it however you want. Make sure to check out Notion to step up your game!

DISCORD

Sometimes, studying can be a lot easier when you are with your friends. However, because of the pandemic, you can’t meet them face to face. But with Discord, you can study with your friends synchronously!

Discord is an app where you can create your own community to talk and make friends with everyone. I personally use Discord whenever I and my friends want to hang out or do school works in our server. It is much fun when you study with your friends even virtually because everyone is doing the same thing at the same time.  You can also find some Discord servers such as study groups for you to encourage yourself to start working on your assignments

GOOGLE DRIVE

This tool helped me a lot in compiling all my files and working in just one storage. You can access your Google drives on cellphones, laptops, or tablets. You can upload your files and edit them online. It can be also used collaboratively with your groupmates when you are doing your tasks!

Even though these applications are helpful, there are still shortcomings faced in this online learning such as lack of communication which students and teachers commonly have misunderstood. We should close the gap and ensure teachers' and students’ success in the new learning environments through best practices in e-learning.
